About the role

Our Telephone Mortgage area have the opportunity for a customer focused, experienced Mortgage Advisor to join their friendly team.

As a professional, passionate Mortgage Advisor the main responsibilities are having telephone mortgage meetings with our diverse range of customers, building relationships, establishing their needs and giving compliant, quality advice on our range of mortgages. The team provide an on demand telephone mortgage advice service, in a fast paced, supportive environment where every day is different.

Giving customers clear and accurate information in a friendly, professional and efficient way whilst ensuring they understand the potential financial risks to them are also key parts of our role. Being passionate about maintaining industry knowledge, handling a wide range of mortgage related enquiries from First Time Buyers to Landlords, whilst adhering to compliance regulations and ensuring all advice is accurately documented is also important.

Culturally we like to think we’re different so while we have a clear passion to deliver exceptional, advice service and achieve compliance and quality goals, this role is not sales based and there are no sales targets.

We operate flexibly across the hours of Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday 9am - 2pm. Once you are trained and confident in role there will be hybrid blend of working from home and our Binley office. This will either be a minimum of 2 days a week in the office or 1 full week in 4.

About you

To be successful in this role you’ll be fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) and will either currently be in a role giving advice or will have done so very recently. Mortgage and lending policy experience from a customer interactive environment will be essential. Understanding of Consumer Duty would be advantageous.

You’ll have excellent communication skills and the confidence to talk to lots of different people as well as the ability to deal with more complex customers’ enquiries in a sensitive, careful and accurate way.
